NCATE Accreditation Visit Format for Faculty Vita

All professional education faculty in the Professional Education Unit involved in the delivery of course work and/or field-based experiences for programs for initial and advanced educator preparation must have a vita on file. Professional education faculty include tenure-track, visiting and adjunct faculty, instructors, university supervisors, graduate assistants and public school faculty teaching courses or supervising field experiences. As specified by NCATE, the faculty vita must include the information listed below in the following order:

1. Name and Faculty Rank (centered at top of page)
2. Academic Degrees
3. Professional Experience
4. Teaching and Administrative Loads


• Specific course prefix, number, title and credits
• Whether course is distance learning and/or off-campus
• Number and type of candidates supervised (i.e. student teaching interns, administration interns, methods course field experience, etc.)
• Number and types of advisees (i.e. undergraduate, graduate, doctoral)
• Number of thesis or doctoral committee chaired
5. Current professional and academic association memberships
6. Publications
7. Papers presented
8. Current department/division, college and university service activities
9. Current service activities with schools, other education agencies and professional and academic associations

Please Submit Updated Vita to Lee Montgomery by March 8, 2002.
