Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Program (UGRASP)

Grants

Southern Utah University’s Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Program (UGRASP) provides funds to support undergraduate research and scholarship activities.  Both students and course instructors may apply.  Recipients of a student or instructor grant must present the results of their project (whether complete or not) at the annual Student-Faculty Scholarship Day.
UGRASP further supports non-student mentors by funding travel to conferences where their students are presenting, funding a mentor’s attendance at workshops or seminars on how to initiate, maintain, or mentor undergraduate research, or for out-of-pocket expenses mentors must sometimes incur in order for his/her students to successfully complete the activity/project.

To assist department-wide undergraduate research and scholarship efforts, UGRASP provides department initiative grants which foster, maintain, or otherwise facilitate undergraduate research and scholarship.
