Department Initiative Grants

Purpose

UGRASP will provide up to $250 per department per academic year for activities or projects which clearly promote, facilitate, and or maintain undergraduate research and scholarship in the department. Projects with limited impact are unlikely to be funded. Examples of projects or activities which would likely secure funding include, but are not limited to: department brochures, bulletin boards, or shadow boxes to hi-light undergraduate research and scholarship opportunities/accomplishments in the department, undergraduate research and scholarship symposium within the department, invited speakers to specifically address undergraduate research and scholarship etc…

Prior to submitting an application, applicants are encouraged to review UGRASP's definition for undergraduate research and scholarship.

Submission Instructions

There is an open deadline for department initiative grants. Qualified applications will be funded on a first come, first serve basis. As such, you are encouraged to submit early in the academic year for which funds are sought.

Correspondence

The submission form should be completed online, printed and signed by all required parties. The form should then be sent via campus mail or faxed to:
