Wallace Foundation
In 2003 two separate foundations, the DeWitt Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund and the Lila Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund were legally merged and renamed The Wallace Foundation - a unified foundation whose goal is to generate real solutions to national challenges.

The Wallace Foundation, after a decade of successful grant-making, has concluded that funding good programs isn't enough. Change requires money, but it also requires knowledge, evidence, strategy and broad public support.

In June, 2004, we redesigned our web site to help meet that goal and an intensified commitment to sharing effective practices and ideas derived from our work. The site includes knowledge in the following areas: Arts Participation, Education Leadership, Libraries, Literacy, Museums, Out-Of-School Learning, Parks School Counseling , Teacher Recruitment.
