Faculty Development Grant

Eligibility: All full-time faculty members are eligible to apply. Grants will not be awarded to faculty who have a missing report for a previously awarded grant.

  • Sept 11, 2008 - (travel dates must fall between October 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009)
  • Nov 13, 2008 - (travel dates must fall between January 1, 2009 and June 30, 2009)
  • Jan 15, 2009 - (travel dates must fall between April 1, 2009 and September 30, 2009)
  • April 16, 2009 - (travel dates must fall between July 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009)
  • Sept 10, 2009 - (travel dates must fall between October 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010)

Grant Awards:

The Provost Fund for faculty professional development invites faculty members to submit proposals intended to promote and facilitate professional development on the campus. The primary goal is to promote faculty scholarship and professional activity at all levels of expertise in their efforts to develop as teachers, scholars and artists. Funded activities are intended to support the mission and strategic goals of the university and the home department and college.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Use the application form link for the type of grant funding you are requesting. The guidelines, proposal requirements and funding priorities are included on the first page of the form. Use the instructions to fill out the form according to the guidelines and requirements.
  2. Give the completed form to your Department Chair and subsequently to your Dean for their comments and signatures.
  3. Return the form to the Provost's Office (electronically to fullerton@suu.edu, or by hand at AD 304) It is your responsibility to verify that the signed form went from the Chair to the Dean to the Provost's Office prior to 3:00pm on the day of the deadline in order to have your proposal reviewed by the committee. (Your Dean may have an earlier deadline for you to submit the form for their comments, be sure to check with their office for an earlier deadline date.)

LATE PROPOSALS ARE NOT ACCEPTED
Proposals that do not follow the requirements will NOT be reviewed by the committee.
