Description  Assistance in carrying out a vegetation monitoring program for the Dixie National Forest. Performance of various vegetation monitoring techniques including nested frequency, line intercept, green line, cross section, woody species regeneration and others. botanical surveys for rare plants. Data input into Forest Service databases. Knowledge of MS Access and Excel would be useful.

Salary/Wage $11.95-$15.00 per hour, depending upon experience and schooling
Work Hours 40 hours per week
Qualifications Camping out and overnight travel required. Some personal camping gear will be needed. Have a valid driver's license. Have some knowledge of Utah upland and riparian flora and plant identification techniques. Field work required. Incumbent must have the ability to hike over steep terrain and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Candidate must be willing to also perform data input/analysis duties in an office setting.
