Description Manage the SUU Community Garden located on the SUU Farm. Position runs from May 1st, 2013 until November 1st, 2013. Daily maintenance of 82 plots, including the irrigation system, weed control, and set-up and tear down of plots. Responsible for maintaining communications with up to 80 SUU and Community gardeners as well as dealing with any problems that may arise. Maintains email account, administers Gardener’s Contract and collects end-of-season survey information from Garden participants. Works under the direction of faculty in the Department of Biology.

Salary/Wage $9.00/hr plus 1-2 garden plots
Work Hours 7 hours per week
Qualifications Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Supervisory position requires self-starter, motivated, and responsible individual that can work with minimal supervision. Must be interested in gardening and producing organic fresh produce.
