| Description | GENERAL SUMMARY The Graphic Designer will produce visual design solutions (for digital and print media) that best translate marketing, brand and communication strategies for the division of Student Services and reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications for Student Services. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Conceive, create and develop visual solutions for marketing collateral (posters, brochures, postcards, envelopes, booklets, coupons, advertisements, etc.), websites, email messages, packaging, and displays. 2. Develop mockups/samples for presentation to clients. 3. Collaborate with a team of creative designers, developers, copywriters, in concept development and creative production. 4. Conduct research as needed to gain sufficient insights for concept development. 5. Manage and maintain creative assets, including logos, photos and art. 6. Manage the production of printed materials by drafting requests for bids, creating project specifications, collecting bids from vendors, and monitoring the overall production of projects. 7. Assist in the planning and execution of regular photo and video shoots. 8. Maintain project archives. 9. Other duties as assigned. |

| Qualifications | 1. Proficiency in Macintosh Operating Systems 2. Advanced experience and knowledge of Adobe Create Suite programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Dreamweaver (CS5 preferred) 3. Knowledge of groupware, document sharing and task management systems 4. Ability to effectively handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines 5. 1-2 years experience in graphic design 6. Experience quoting and managing print jobs as well as working with printers 7. Organized and detail-oriented with a passion for creativity and high quality 8. Knowledge and experience with web design 9. Graphic Design major preferred |
