| Description | The EDGE Project Mentor will be a resource for students who are in the process of deciding on an EDGE Project (part of the University's EDGE Program graduation requirement). The mentor will be available to meet with students and help them brainstorm and develop viable ideas for projects. The mentor will promote EDGE engagement and brainstorming through various outreach methods including social media and proven marketing approaches for SUU students (i.e tables in the mall, flyers). The mentor will represent the EDGE program and meet with students at fairs and conferences The mentor will collaborate with faculty, staff, community members, and organizations to identify opportunities for EDGE Projects The mentor will actively find new EDGE project opportunities and make students and the EDGE team members aware of them. |

| Qualifications | Required Skills and Attributes: Be able to utilize social media (twitter/facebook) Have professional interpersonal skills and be able to connect with people. Be curious, creative, and enthusiastic Be able to work independently and pro-actively under limited supervision. Be able to enthusiastically work as a member of a team. Be a capable representative for SUU. Design brochures and other materials related to the promotion of EDGE Project planning. Be able to creatively take ideas and explore options for developing EDGE Projects in various types of engaged learning including outdoor engagement, creative engagement, community engagement, leadership engagement, and global engagement. Suggested qualifications: Have gone through the first two EDGE program courses (UNIV 1010 and 3925) and have completed (or be completing) their own project. Demonstrable past involved at the university (clubs, organizations, leadership, etc.) |

| Additional Information | The interview for the position will involve mock consultations where the candidate will be asked to brainstorm project ideas with interviewers playing the role of students. Questions about this process can be directed to Associate Dean Branin. |
