SUU's Media Resources

The News Services office in the Marketing department maintains a dynamic database to which it sends news about SUU.

Some 30 media--in the realms of print, radio, television and specialty-covering all campus media, regional media and major media outlets in the state, are on the "regular distribution list" for all news releases.

An updated directory of all newspapers in Utah is facilitated for "hometown releases"-In other words, news releases about specific students are sent to the newspapers in their hometowns. The News Services office also sends to hometown newspapers, out-of-state. That list, of course, is ongoing in development.

Finally, we have a Trades Publications list from which we send news to specialty publications, according to the subject of the release.

We encourage and appreciate any SUU departments or offices sending out info to the media to confer with the News Services office to ensure consistency and proper format.
