Professional Improvement Committee

Members:

  • President, Chair
  • Two board members
  • Other staff members (volunteers) as chosen by the chair

Mission Statement:

Be actively functioning in order to provide professional improvement opportunities for SUU staff.  Work with Human Resources to determine any training that could be done by this committee to encourage professional improvement for staff.  Reinforce employee wellness, act as a focus group for staff and refer suggestions and comments to the board for a vote.

Strategic Plan:

  • Work with Human Resources to determine needs of employees and possible activities/events that the committee could assist with.
  • Encourage staff members to take advantage of the SUU Wellness Incentive by either participating in the classes offered by the PE department, etc.
  • Organize at least one training session during the year on a topic encouraged to help staff.  Direction can be gathered from interviewing staff or speaking with Human Resources.
