SUU Alumni living in Washington County gathered together on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the 2450 E. Park in St. George for their 1st Annual Family BBQ and Potluck. The event was a success and offered a wonderful opportunity for alumni and friends of SUU, along with their families, to socialize with each other in a fun and relaxed setting.
President Michael Benson attended and provided an update on the renovation of Old Main, construction of the new Teacher Education building, funding for a new Science Center, the addition of a carillon on the upper campus, and dates for Homecoming and his Inauguration this fall (September 21-22). He also noted important partnerships with Dixie State College that will benefit residents of Washington County. Also in attendance were new SUU Basketball Coach Roger Reid and SUU Assistant Football Coach Cole Wilson.
