End of an Era
It was the end of an era for the nearly 50-year-old Juniper Hall when it officially closed November 6, due to a failure in the building's heating system.
Housing personnel noticed the heating system was not holding pressure and that water was not being retained within the closed system. Temporary repairs were made, but since the lines are buried under concrete and the pipes are brittle from corrosion, it was determined that it was in the best interest of the 227 Juniper residents to relocate them before winter weather arrives.

What do you remember about Juniper Hall? Send us an email with your favorite memories and tell us what made Juniper Hall so special to you. Submissions may be used in the spring edition of the SUU In View Alumni Magazine.

Thunderbird Men Earn XC Title at Conference, Women Finish Second Cameron Levins led the men's team to victory with an individual title at the Summit League Cross Country Championship on October 29. The men's team finished first ahead of North Dakota State and South Dakota State while Diana Medina-Mitchell also earned an individual title in the women's race, leading the team to a second-place finish behind North Dakota State.
"It was an extremely good day for the program," head coach Eric Houle said. "It's tough to win one title alone, but to also have our other team finish second is really a cause for celebration."

KSUU Recognized at Statewide Competition
At this year's Utah Broadcaster's Association UBEE Awards Southern Utah University's radio station, KSUU, won five awards recognizing talented SUU students and their hard work.
Cal Rollins, KSUU's station manager, says this is a great accomplishment and since it is a state-wide competition this shows KSUU talents can compete with commercial radio stations -the type of radio stations these T-Birds hope to work for someday.
