What Do R.E.A.L. Peers Do?

  1. Provide important services, programs, information and resources that empower students with a greater understanding of who they are and what their institution can do for them.
  2. Maintain trusting, non-judgmental relationships in support of students trying to reduce risks in their behavioral choices.
  3. Design outreach and educational efforts based on the attitudes and behaviors of the SUU student community.
  4. Specialize in various topic areas, such as, alcohol and other drugs, gender and sexuality, healthy eating, stress, sexual assault prevention, sexual health, and mental health.

Events

R.E.A.L. Peer Health Education Meetings are held every Wednesday Night at 7:30 p.m. in the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) located in the Sharwan Smith Center, room ST168 across from Chick-Fil-A.

Late Night at 9 PMLate Night Events:
The R.E.A.L. Peers offer alternative late night events for all SUU students. These late night events are held every other Friday and begin at 9 pm when the rest of Cedar City begins to die down. The peers host various types of events, such as movie night, casino night, speed dating, video game tournaments, and many other fun activities throughout the semester.  Watch for flyers around campus announcing these events and their locations, which will be displayed around SUU campus and on the bulletin board outside the Mentoring Center room ST107.
