Prep: Won four varsity letters in baseball at Dixie HS, where he pitched and played both corner infield positions ... earned all-region honors ... also earned two letters in both football and basketball and earned all-state recognition on the gridiron ... was listed on the honor roll.

Personal: Majoring in chemistry ... older brother Dan played first base at SUU in 2001.
