Student Assistant Tiffany Burt is in her first season of the SUU staff following her senior season for the Thunderbirds last year.

Ms. Burt is working on her degree in Physical Education and will graduate in May and plans on doing her student teaching next Fall.  

In 2006 Ms. Burt, a native of Brigham City, Utah, helped lead her team to the Mid-Continent Conference championship and tournament championship, playing shortstop. She was named the conference tournament MVP, to the all-conference first-team and first-team all-tournament team. Ms. Burt finished the season with the second best batting average (.369) and a .667 slugging mark, with 12 home runs, seven triples, nine doubles, and 52 RBI. She made history in 2005 by becoming the first player ever to be named Mid-Con Player and Newcomer of the Year in the same season.
