Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty

The GRFD option is available to those members of the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) who desire a commission in the Reserve Component, either the Army Reserve or National Guard. Choosing this option may result in a possible two year scholarship, and it entitles one to a special contract that guarantees a minimum of eight years' duty in the Reserve.

Benefits of this scholarship option include:

-100% coverage of tuition and fees.
-A cash bonus depending on MOS.
-Monthly stipend of $300 for first year students, $350 for second year students, $450 for third year students, and $500 for fourth year students.
-Drill pay of $226 per month.
-G.I. Bill benefits for those who qualify.
