Department of Military Science

Three Year Scholarships

Three year scholarships are intended for college students with no prior military experience who have between 30 and 60 college credit hours. High school seniors who are unable to receive a four year scholarship may instead be considered for a three year scholarship in which benefits begin during the second year of college. These types of scholarships are also highly competitive, so only the most qualified candidates who apply early will be considered, yet the benefits are also great.

Benefits of this scholarship option include
:

-Up to $20,000 in annual tuition assistance.
-$450 per semester for books ($900 annually).
-Monthly stipend of $350 for second year students, $450 for third year students, and $500 for fourth year students.

Cadets who choose this scholarship option and are college sophomores will enter the ROTC Basic Course as an MS I compression cadet, being promoted to the MS II class upon successful completion of the first semester MS I class. Cadets may also be appointed directly to the MS II class with permission of the professor of military science.
