CPT Warden was born 14 August, 1968 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was raised in Kaysville, Utah where he graduated from Davis High School in 1987. He enlisted in the Utah National Guard in 1987 and attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was assigned to B BTRY 2-222 Field Artillery St. George, Utah, where he was an advanced party man, number one man, assistant gunner, gunner, ammo team chief, and Chief of Section.

CPT Warden received his associate degree from Dixie College in 1991. He attended Southern Utah University where he received his Bachelor of Science in 1995 and Master of Education in 1998. He had a scholarship to play football at both Dixie and SUU.

CPT Warden has attended various military schools. Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course and the Field Artillery Captain's Career Course. Combined Arms Exercise(CAX) United States Army Infantry School Airborne Course

CPT Warden was commissioned an officer on 26 July, 2000. He was assigned to B BTRY 2-222 FA as a Platoon Leader/Fire Direction Officer from August 2001 to August 2002. During this time he was mobilized for the security mission of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, he worked as an OIC of the night shift guarding the Media Center in Salt Lake City. He was transferred to C BTRY 2-222 FA and served again as Platoon Leader/ Fire Direction Officer.

CPT Warden was assigned as commander of B BTRY 2-222 FA February, 2003. His unit was mobilized 15 March, 2003 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Noble Eagle. He continued as commander of B BTRY for the majority of the 2003-2004 training year.

CPT Warden taught Social Studies and coached Football and Wrestling for eight years in St. George, Utah. On 17 September, 2003 he became an Active Guard Reserve Soldier and is currently assigned as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Southern Utah University. Duty titles include Training officer and Recruiting Officer. In August, 2006 he was made the OIC of SUU ROTC.

His awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army reserve Components Achievement Medal (3 rd Award), National Defense service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve medal W/M Device, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. CPT Warden is married to the former Kristen M. Labrum of St. George, Utah. They have three children, Katie, Hannah and Malia.
