1LT Williams was born May 25, 1976 in Beaver, Utah.  He was raised there and Graduated from Beaver High in 1994.  He enlisted in the Utah National Guard in 1993 and attended Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.  He was assigned to SVC Btry 2-222 FA, Beaver, Utah, where he worked as a Field Artillery Systems Mechanic.

1LT Williams received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Southern Utah University in 2001.  He then went on to receive his Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Utah in 2004. 

1LT Williams has attended various military schools including Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, and the Field Artillery Captain’s Career Course.

1LT Williams was mobilized with SVC Btry 2-222 FA, as a Staff Sergeant, in March of 2003 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Noble Eagle, where he served as Battalion Recovery Chief.  He was commissioned an officer on 9 Feb 2004.  He was then assigned to Charlie Btry 2-222 FA where he served as a Fire Direction Officer.  In Jan 2005 he was mobilized with C Btry 2-222 FA in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he served as a Platoon Leader/Fire Direction Officer while stationed at Ar Ramadi, Iraq.  After returning home he became an Active Guard Reserve Soldier and is currently assigned as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Southern Utah University. Duty titles include Training officer and Recruiting Officer.

 

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (with 2 gold leafs), the National Defense Service Medal (with Bronze Star), the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with M2 device and bronze hourglass), the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (with 2 device),  the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Utah National Guard Commendation Medal, the Utah Winter Olympic Games Service Ribbon, the Utah National Guard Achievement Ribbon, the Utah National Guard Service Ribbon, and the Combat Action Badge.

1LT Williams is married to the former Robyn Adamson of Pleasant Grove, Utah.  They have two children, Braxton and Brinley.
