
Canyon Arts at Southern Utah University (SUU) is a creative artist residency that convenes each summer on the SUU campus. Conceived by SUU President Michael T. Benson and directed by Raymond T. Grant, Canyon Arts brings together profesional artists and teachers of international renown to work with college students bound for careers in arts and culture. Faculty are drawn from this country's most noted conservatories and prestigious cultural institutions.
The 2012 Canyon Arts Festival features musicians from The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, New York City Opera, New York Philharmonic, and Utah Symphony. Canyon Arts Factuly teach at The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, NYU Steinhardt, Aspen Music Festival, Snow College, and Southern Utah University.
