Admissions Update: Competitive Admissions
The Department of Nursing admits 20 pre-licensure students fall and spring semesters. This is a competitive admission based on: Cumulative GPA, Required Support Course GPA, Work/School History, Essay, and References. As a part of the selection process, applicants may be asked to attend a scheduled interview. LPN's will apply with the Pre-licensure students and will be evaluated on the same criteria. Application deadline for Spring 2014 is September 13, 2013. Applicants will be notified by mail in late October of the Admissions and Advancement Committee's decision. Application deadline for Fall 2014 is February 14, 2014. Applicants will be notified by mail in late March of the Admissions and Advancement Committee’s decision. All decisions by the committee are final and may not be appealed.
TEAS V(R) test Dates are here! All tests will be proctored in SC 301 - 30 testers maximum per test date, on a first come-first serve basis; Friday, August 23, 2013 – 12:00 PM; Thursday, August 29, 2013 – 1:00 PM; Monday, September 9, 2013 – 12:00 PM; Tuesday, September 10, 2013 – 8:30 AM. This is a 3 hour and 45 minute, four-option multiple-choice test with 170 total questions. Please come prepared for this length of time.
Register for the TEAS exam at www.atitesting.com, select the “Register for Teas” option and follow prompts to test at SUU on your desired day and time. The cost of the TEAS® V exam is $40.00, payable at the time of the on-line registration. Please bring your receipt, photo ID, and ATI user name and password to your registered test date.
