Accreditation

Accreditation and national recognition is sought for all programs and program options in the Beverley Taylor Sorenson College of Education and Human Development. The college's Professional Teacher Education Program (PTEP) is currently accredited through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education to the end of 2008. At the present, the PTEP and the college's Leadership in Education and Administrative Development (LEAD) Program are seeking accreditation through the Teacher Education Accreditation Council. Other college programs are also accredited through appropriate organizations. The Art Education program is accredited through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) has accredited the athletic training program in the Department of Physical Education and Human Performance.
