Graduation Requirements

General graduation information can be accessed from the Registrar's web page

"SUU policy requires that a student must have completed their course of study by spring semester or have 12 or fewer credit hours that will be completed during summer semester. If a student has more than 12 credit hours remaining in their course of study for summer semester, they must wait until the following year to participate in graduation ceremonies."

GRADUATION APPLICATION PARTS I & II:

DEADLINES for having Graduation Application Parts I & II:

• Spring & Summer Completers DUE October 1
• Fall Completers DUE February 1

FEES

• $15.00 Mandatory Graduation Diploma Fee-Issue to SUU and DUE with application.
• $50.00 Cap, Gown, and Hood Fee-Issued to SUU and Due February 15th.
• A $50.00 late fee assessed to all students who apply after October 15th.

ALL FEES ISSUED to Southern Utah University. Fees may be paid by credit card, by calling the SUU Cahsier's Office at 435-586-7720 or you may mail a check along with your application parts I and II

Graduate Application Part I:

Graduate Application Part II:

Download the Rich Text Format Form of the Gradaution Application Part II for all students completing a Masters Degree in Education.

List your Name EXACTLY as you want it to appear on your diploma. Your diploma will be mailed to the address you put on this card, so be sure you use an address that will not change after you graduate.

Where To Send Graduation Application Parts I & II

The Graduation Application Parts I & II must be completed and received in the Graduate Studies in Education Office on or before the date(s) stated above. You have three methods of submitting the COMPLETED form: e-mail, FAX, or regular mail.

Send Masters Graduation Applications Part I AND Part II to Sandy Ward. Email ward_s@suu.edu; FAX 435-865-8485; or through regular mail to Sandy Ward at the address below.

Graduation Ceremony

If you intend to walk through the graduation processional with your peers, you will need to pay the $50.00** CAP, GOWN, & HOOD FEE to the cashier prior to graduation. You should pay early to make sure that your regalia is available. There is a $5.00 discount for payments made prior to February 15th.

The Alumni Relations Office supplies the graduation regalia at a cost of $50.00 for graduates (includes tassel, cap, gown & hood). The light blue color for education will be reflected in the Masters hood. You will then pick-up your graduation regalia prior to commencement at the Alumni House on the corner of 300 W. and University Blvd. Call 435-586-7777 for more information.
