SUU’s Department of Theatre Arts & Dance presents Live from the Heritage Center Theater: The 2014 BFA Broadway Musical Showcase for one performance only on Monday, April 21, 2014. The performance begins at 7:30pm and takes place at Cedar City’s Heritage Center Theater. All seats are $5 at the door only and the proceeds go to benefit the Theatre Arts’ BFA Scholarship Fund. The highly entertaining evening has been conceived and created by the multi-talented Brad Carroll, who staged Utah Shakespeare Festival’s highly successful Les Misérables, Anything Goes and SUU’s acclaimed productions of CHICAGO The Musical and Bat Boy The Musical.

This fundraiser marks Brad Carroll’s last event as Artist-in-Residence for SUU’s Department of Theatre Arts and Dance. During his tenure and as a guest artist for the College of Performing and Visual Arts, Carroll has worked on SUU’s productions of Into The Woods, Godspell, Little Women The Broadway Musical, CHICAGO The Musical, Bat Boy The Musical and the popular holiday favorite A Christmas Carol On The Air which he originally co-created with Peter Sham, Director of Theatre Arts, for the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Proceeds from The 2014 BFA Broadway Musical Showcase go to a scholarship fund which directly benefit students in SUU’s Theatre Arts program.
