Kirstin Bone

Age: 19
Major/Minor: Theatre: Directing/Creative Writing
SUU Involvement: The University Journal, SUU's Honors Program, the Anime Club (yes, I am a geek), the Resident Housing Assistance Freshman Board (RHA), and frequenting the Media Lab.

Hometown: Lake Shore, Utah (south of Provo)
Favorite things to do on the weekend: Haha, that's a hard one because it really depends on the weekend. Most of the time you will find me either making a movie, watching a movie, hanging out with my friends, reading, writing, or catching up on sleep. Oh, and the occasional quest through Cedar City for the fun of it is always a good option, too.
Favorite place I've been in the world: Yellowstone National Park probably takes the cake. Talk about a beautiful place full of all sorts of cool things!
Favorite Song: Into the Ocean by Blue October, Let Me Fall or Remember When It Rained by Josh Groban, Someone To Fall Back On by Jason Robert Brown, Cristofori's Dream by David Lanz, Good Enough by Evanescence, or Falcon in the Dive from The Scarlet Pimpernel depending on my mood.
Favorite Book: Elantris by Brandon Sanderson, and it is a must read.
Favorite Quote: "Live life like you mean it."
Other Info: I have a skin disease that's part of the ichthyosis family by the name of epidermolytic hyperkeratosis (also known as bullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma Brocq). Basically it's a genetic mutation that causes my skin to grow faster than normal, and it makes me have thick scales everywhere but on my psalms, soles of my feet, and my face--talk about being easy to spot on campus! No, it doesn't really hurt. Yes, people have been mean to me because of it. No, it hasn't stopped me from living the life. Yes, one day I do hope a cure is found for it. No, there is no cure available at this time.
