Review for Exam 2, Trigonometry

 

Preliminary Notes

o        Disclaimer: This is in no way intended to be a complete review for Exam 2, but only to remind you of some of the most important concepts. You should do the problems below, but also review class notes and your homework in detail!

o        Each of the even answers to the review problems posted on links provided below.

o        The test will be Friday, March 1, over Sections 3.2-5.2.

 

To Be Given on the Test: Formula Sheet for Exam 2

o        If I have omitted any essential and complicated formulas, please let Ms. Stoker know and I will consider including them.

o        This is the same formula sheet I will append to the back of Exam 2, so get used to using the formulas as they’re given on the hyperlinked formula sheet.

 

Chapter 3

o        Read through the Chapter 3 Summary, pp. 162-164, spending a few minutes in class notes and worked homework to understand each concept.

o        Work from the Chapter 3 Test, pp. 164-166, Problems 1-26 and 28. On Problems 8, 9, 12 and 14, name all six trig functions (instead of just one) at each given angle. Key to Chapter 3 Review Problems (that aren’t in the back of the book).

o        Any of these concepts that give you trouble should be reviewed in detail, including homework problems.

 

Chapter 4

o        Read through the Chapter 4 Summary, pp. 249-251, spending a few minutes in class notes and worked homework to understand each concept.

o        Work from the Chapter 4 Test, pp. 252-253, Problems 1-19. Key to Chapter 4 Review Problems (that aren’t in the back of the book).

o        Any of these concepts that give you trouble should be reviewed in detail, including homework problems.

 

Chapter 5

o   Read carefully all of p. 294.

o   Work from the Chapter 5 Test, p. 296, and work Problems 1-6, 11-14, 17-20, 25-26. Key to Chapter 5 Review Problems
