Claudia Kreipl, MSN, RN, CST

Professional Information

Claudia began her nursing career graduating from Brigham Young University College of Nursing in 1978 with an Associate Degree in nursing. She worked as a hospital staff nurse for 11 years on Medical/Surgical floors, step down special care and cardiac units. She returned to BYU in 1984 and completed a BSN degree in 1989. In 1994 she completed her Master’s degree from the University Of Utah College Of Nursing. She has taught as a Professor in Nursing at Salt Lake Community College, Weber State University, and Dixie State College. Besides teaching she has practiced as a Director of Education, Director of Home Care, Director of Psychiatric Nursing, Health Specialist for the Utah Health Department Certification and Licensure Division, and Case manager for home health. She currently has her own private practice in Alternative Healing as a therapist in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage, Therapeutic Touch and Reiki.

Claudia’s experiences have given her the opportunity to teach multiple nursing courses which include; Medical Surgical Nursing, Therapeutic Communication, Mental Health, Home Health, Clinical instruction, and Laboratory validations.

Claudia’s Professional Presentations include teaching assistant for UpLedger Institute, Nurse Healers Associates International, and Guest speaker for UNA conference on CranioSacral Therapy; “A Non Invasive Treatment for Holistic Nursing Care.” She has also presented at the Tiny Tots Health Fairs, Alzheimer’s Conference, and DRMC Health Fair. Her professional involvement had been in American Heart Association as a CPR Instructor, ACLS Instructor and in the Boy Scouts of America.

She has a passion for teaching and loves the diversity nursing offers to practice in different areas. She is grateful and excited to be part of SUU in teaching nursing students how to become the best nurse they can be!!
