Financial History Assignment

Your assignment is to take an introspective look at your own financial management background. The goal is to trace your financial heritage and roots. Where did you learn your present attitudes, habits, and other behaviors pertaining to money management? Who were the important people in your life that you learned from on these important issues? Did you learn through coursework, through observation of your mother or father perhaps, or did you have some direct supervised experiences under the influence of one of your parents, grandparents, or other teachers? Did you receive an allowance when you were young? Did you open up a savings account as a young person? Have you had minimal, adequate, or ample financial means in your life? Was the family philosophy pertaining to money one of a conservative, a moderate, or a liberal nature? Did you ever go through some economic hardships and related deprivations? How did the family respond to these financial stresses or crises in your life? Do a thorough job of describing yourself as a money manager. You should also describe your present capability or what you anticipate as your future potential as an income producer. Do this whether you plan to work for wages in a vocation, earn a salary through a profession, engage in some private business on a self-employed basis, or stay at home, working only if necessary.
