Fall 2002 - GEOL 1010 Field Trips

Students wander over to look at the former brothel located near remote Roosevelt Hot Springs.

 

1010 Students examine a fresh exposure of a stock located west of Milford, Utah.

 

These students are collecting opaline material from a small opal dome, located north of Milford, Utah.

 

In this photo, one can clearly see the field occurrence of the opal.

 

Collecting obsidian is great fun!

 

This group is collecting in a pumice quarry.
