Fawn R. Caparas is a composition instructor at Southern Utah University. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in 2006 and her Masters of Arts in English with a Rhetoric & Composition emphasis in 2010 from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Fawn has special interests in the works of Emmanuel Levinas and in Writing Center pedagogy. She also dabbles in creative writing: poetry, fiction, narrative nonfiction, and playwriting.
In addition to her current Utah residency, Fawn has lived in a variety of locations including California, Oklahoma, Alaska, and Japan. She has four children living in four different states across the U.S. Fawn sees teaching as an opportunity to help students develop valuable communication and critical-thinking skills, but she also simply enjoys being in the classroom.
