Assistant Professor of Graphic Design/Graphic Design Area Head at SUU. Most recently Jeff has been working on exhibit and educational websites for Indiana University’s Art Museum, one of the nations top five university art museums (It is ranked along with Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale). He has been involved with design work on the following online exhibits and show catalogs. An Introduction to a Museum, The Geometric Works for Morton C. Bradley, Jr., Sacred Hearth Aepan: Painted Prayers to Himalayan Deities, The Second Wave: Japanese Prints from Bloomington Collections, Indiana Art Museum’s 25th Anniversary Exhibit and others. Additionally he has been developing a freelance relationship with Chronicle Books in San Francisco and does freelance design work for local, independent publisher Jorlan publishing where he most recently designed the book jacket for the children’s title Whose Ears Are Whose. In addition to working on commercial projects, Jeff works creatively in letterpress printing. He has won the Sara R. Irvine artist book award for his handmade book Whoop & Peep. His handmade books, Whoop and Peep, Design Intern Cries, Making Messes, and Ghost Stories are held in several private and public collections, most notably Indiana University’s Art book collection. Prior to his educational and freelance work, Jeff worked as a graphic designer for Noot Group: A Branding Agency in Boise, ID where his work was honored three times by the Boise Advertising federation with Rocky Awards. He holds an MFA with emphasis in graphic design from the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts at Indiana University, one of the premier art schools in the country.
