Visualizing

The teacher will read a story about a tornado. The students will draw how they think their favorite scene and characters in the story looks like. Once the pictures are complete the students will have an opportunity to go around the classroom to look and compare details of their classmates pictures.

 This activity allows the students to draw the mental images they have of the story on paper.  It also allows them to see their peer’s point of view and what they imagined the scene to look like.
