Each student will have a spiral bound index card book to which they add a new vocabulary word when it is presented. The card will also consist of a picture next to the word to describe the meaning of the word. This is useful to keep all the words together so that individual cards will not be misplaced. The meaning will also be written on the back of the card so the student will be able to increase comprehension.
