Manipulative Ideas for Juan Bobo Goes to Work

• Have the kids make puppets that go along with the story on Juan Bobo and then act out the story. They could also make up new chores for Juan to do and tell the story with the puppets.

• Have a chore relay – have the children spilt into teams appropriate to the class size. One member races to the chalkboard and writes the definition a Spanish word and then has to carry a milk bucket back on their head. Have different chores for the children to do for the relay.

• Have a Juan Bobo day and allow the kids to dress up as characters from the story Juan Bobo Goes to Work.
