4 Authentic and Meaningful Writing Assignments

 

  1. Newspaper Article:  Have the students write an article about the discovery of a new constellation.  Have them include an illustration and description.
  2. Play:  Write and perform a play about their day on another planet.
  3. Packing List:  Have the students create a packing list of the necessities for traveling into space.
  4. Newscast:  Videotape the students broadcasting from a different planet.  Have them include breaking news, weather, sports, etc.
