Authentic Assessments

 

 

 

1. Put the students in groups of five and have them recreate and roleplay a historical event studied in class.

 

2.  Have the students individually create a travel brouchure about their favorite place the class studied.

 

3. Divide the class into four groups (making each group about 6-7 students) and have them design a map of a fictional country, filling in cities, rivers, mountains, etcÉ

 

4. Using Microsoft Word, instruct the students to write an opinion letter to a local politician concerning a current event.

 

5.     Divide students in groups of four and have them design a newspaper column about an ancient civilization studied in class.  For example, the IncaÕs in South America.
