3rd Grade Comprehensive/Balanced Literacy Curriculum Index
This index contains links to ideas and strategies to integrate literacy instruction through all areas of the curricular content for the 3rd grade. It is always under construction. Items are tied to specific Utah State Core Curriculum components. Clearly, to provide ideas and strategies for any grade's entire curriculum would be nearly impossible. Therefore, what is contained in the linked web pages, is a list of ideas for a cross section of the curriculum; it organized by the curriculum (briefly stated). The teacher or teacher candidate using this web site should view the information as such and realize that ideas can be adapted to fit any of the particular curricular components. This document will be dynamic--new ideas will be added as subsequent classes complete assignments to create these curriculum helps.
