First Background Knowledge Assessment
The first background
knowledge assessment presented for this objective is an Interest inventory
which can include the following questions:

The second background
knowledge assessment presented for this objective is the use of K-W-L Strategy
Sheet which could be carried out as follows:

Step 1: |
Students divide up into
groups according to the six continents, excluding |
|
Step 2: |
Students work in their
groups with a K-W-L strategy sheet for the arts of all or part of that
continent, indicating what they already know and what they want to learn. |
|
Step 3 |
Class rejoins and
discusses the K-W-L strategy sheets from each group. Time is then allowed for regrouping to see
if other ideas want to be added to the sheets. |
