Learning Center

For our learning center, we stayed with the “Charlotte’s Web” theme and decided to create a center based on writing messages to Mr. Zuckerman, the farmer. Students can use their free time to create a message to Mr. Zuckerman about any topic they want, ideas include: hobbies, favorite animal, daily life experiences, favorite parts from the book, etc.

Mr. Zuckerman, yesterday I went to the zoo and saw the most amazing animals. I went with my mom and little sister. I had so much fun! My favorite animal was the giraffe.

After they write their message, they can create a web out of a paper plate and yarn. They will make the web, then glue their message to it and hang it on the bulletin board. Every day the teacher will read the latest messages, created by “charlotte” to the class and discuss them.
