Innovative Book Report Idea for Fine Arts 6 Grade

Have students re-write a grade level text into a reader’s theater. Have 3 groups of students, with each group taking a different chapter in the book. Then each student in the group takes a section and transforms that section into a script. After having students change the grade level text into a readers theater, have students perform the readers theater. Students could bring in costumes and props to perform. This way each student will know their chapter of the book really well and will be able to present it to the class.
