Thanksgiving Day Writing Activity

For our Thanksgiving activity we are going to write a short essay about things that we are thankful for. Each student will think of five things that they are thankful for and why they are thankful for these things. The things they are thankful for could be physical objects, people, places, or anything else they can think of. We will seal these essays in an envelope and the teacher will send the students their envelopes five years down the road on Thanksgiving and see if their ideas have changed.
