Each week students will be given a new envelope with a real life scenario and money to complete the activity. The scenarios will include bills from the Power Company, Telephone Company, and a mortgage payment. After that the students will have to decide how much they will spend, of the allotted money, at the grocery store, on a car payment, if they want cable television, and if they have any money left they can tell what they would spend it on. If the students budget their money well enough they can upgrade certain parts of the scenario, like a better car or a bigger house. The student that comes closest to spending all of their money without going over, proper tax must be included, each week gets a prize.

Little pieces of Velcro will be attached to the poster board and to the backs of all of the money, so that at the end of the week the students can each show how they spent their money.
