Comprehension

 

1-)  Debate—Students will be assigned which side of the topic they will support.  They will be in groups of four and will debate why they feel the way they do.  Half-way through the debate the groups will switch and debate the opposite side. 

 

2-)  Timeline Pictures—Students will take the time line and take three events they put on it and draw a picture to fit the event. (see manipulative options)

 

3-)  Test—Students will be put in groups of three.  They will compare their journals and write a twenty question test that contains stuff they learned.

 

4-)  Jeopardy—Students will be split into two groups and will take turns rotating through in two groups of  five.  The teacher will ask the groups of students a question and they will have buzzers and they will get points for whoever answers it first.
