Print Environment
1. Students will find related science information in the newspaper, news, or
science channels. They will be given a list of upcoming topics which we will
be studying throughout the year and they will be required to find information
about one of the listed topics each week. Students will record findings in their
science journals. Each Friday, there will be time set aside that they will share
their findings with the class. If there are any pictures they find, they will
bring them in to put on a bulletin board and share with the class.
2. Students will make DNA strands with gum-drops and toothpicks. They will label
each part of the molecule. These will be hung throughout the classroom.
