Welcome to the web page on rivers. Rivers are long flowing waters. Rivers can flow up to 4,145  miles. Rivers serve as an important energy source. Some  rivers have deep ends. Like the Columbia, some large brooks come together to make rivers. Most rivers start in high mountains or hills and end in oceans.

Climate and length

Rivers sometimes have a different climate such as cold, warm, and hot. A lot of rivers don't have life, but some have fish. Rivers have been important to people. A river in South America measures 4,000 miles (16,437 kilometers).  Some rivers are narrow and some rivers are wide.

Pollution

People all over the world pollute in rivers. This damages the rivers and the animals that live in them. Also, poisonous liquids are dumped in rivers.  When people pollute rivers, some of the animals in the rivers can die.
