SUU Reading Faculty

Dr. Verlinda
Angell , Associate Professor of Reading and graduate
of the Univeristy of Nevado at Reno, has been at the university
a total of seven years on two different occasions. Her expertise
is in reading assessment and remediation, as well as, writing,
early literacy, comprehension and technology. She also serves
on the Field Council of the National Reading Conference, the
Utah State Reading Endorsement Committee, as the ad hoc director
of reading programs at SUU, as the director of the SUU Reading
Clinic, and as the co-advisor to the SUU Student Reading Council.

Dr. David Lund
, Associate Professor of Reading and graduate of Purdue
Univeristy, came to SUU in June of 1999 and works with technology
integration, historical foundations and issues in reading, comprehension,
supervision of literacy programs, language acquisition, assessment,
and writing. He also serves on the Utah State Reading Endorsement
Committee, the Utah Council of the International Reading Association's
Executive Board, the Field Council and Technology Committee
of the National Reading Conference, and the Alpha Upsilon Alpha
Honor Society Steering Committee of the Inernational Reading
Association. He is also the co-advisor to the SUU Student Reading
Council and the advisor to SUU's Beta Alpha Chapter of the IRA
Honor Society.

Linda
Marriott, Clinical Instructor of Reading and graduate of Utah
State University, has been at SUU for the past twelve years. She
began her service with the university as Director of the SUU Reading
Clinic and Reading Conferences. Currently her teaching emphasis
focuses on early literacy, elementary language arts, and children's
literature. |
