The current course requirement for secondary teachers is:: EDRG 3720 - Content Area Literacy and the Common Core (2) Integrated Studies Requirement (2008 Catalog)

The course requirements for elementary teachers are:: EDRG 3520 - Teaching Reading in Elementary School (3) Professional Studies Requirement (2008 catalog); ELED 3460 - Methods in Language Arts (3 hour block class) Integrated Studies Requirement (2008 Catalog); EDRG 4010 - Language Acquisition, Early Literacy, & Phonics K-3 (3) Required for Elementary Integrated Studies Specialization and Early Childhood Education (ECED - 2012) Catalog); EDRG 4040 - Assessment/Instruction in Reading (3) Instructional Studies Requirement (2008 Catalog); EDRG 4120 - Integrated Studies of Children's Literature (3) Required for Elementary Integrated Studies Specialization (2008 Catalog)
