The students will engage in creating a school production that will allow them to use there prior knowledge of dance materials to construct a dance that will be preformed in front of the school. They will have the opportunity to experience the creative process of dance. The students will engage in body movement!

The Students will create an art project where they will demonstrate their knowledge of key principles learned throughout the year. They will be able to express themselves in anyway that they want to as long as the criteria is met.

The students will be put into groups that will construct a play that will be preformed in front of the class at the end of the unit. Each group will need to complete the necessary steps in order to get all of the points for the assignment. Steps include: what their play is about, Plot, and character summary. The students will also be constructing the props for their play.

The class will put on a class production where they will sing a variety of songs to parents and people in the community. Each student will play a part in the production and how is should be put together. The instruments used will be up to them. Each student will be asked to dress nicely due to the fact that this is a professional performance.
