To
make an interactive Bulletin Board that is fun for the students, consider
this idea. For homework, beforehand, have the students collect advertisements in magazines (Environmental Print).
Talk about collages, and
mosaics, and how if you cut the advertisements into pieces and mix them up they
can make interesting designs.
Have each student pick a vocabulary word from an envelope on the bulletin board.
Allow the students to make their own artwork by cutting their advertisements, and the vocabulary word, into pieces and rearranging the pieces into a collage/mosaic.
Now, (after taking the envelopes
down) have the students put each of their individual artworks together on the
bulletin board to form one giant class collage of
vocabulary.
